Before shadowing

□ Confirm date, time, location, parking, dress code, and required paperwork.
□ Review common anesthesia meds: propofol, fentanyl, midazolam, rocuronium, succinylcholine, phenylephrine, ephedrine, sevoflurane, ondansetron.
□ Review basic airway equipment: mask, oral airway, laryngoscope, endotracheal tube, supraglottic airway, suction, and backup airway plan.

During shadowing

□ Follow the full workflow: pre-op, induction, maintenance, emergence, transfer, and PACU handoff.
□ Notice communication, anticipation, hemodynamic decisions, positioning, and patient-safety checks.
□ Ask thoughtful questions when appropriate, not during critical moments.

After shadowing

□ Record date, facility, approximate hours, and case types observed.
□ Write 3–5 things you learned about CRNA judgment, responsibility, and workflow.
□ Save notes you can later reference in applications and interviews.
